Diecast Acura NSX

Sometimes called the Honda NSX, the Acura NSX is a high performance card built by Honda and sold under their Acura brand name. It was produced for 15 years, from 1990 to 2005.

First debuted at the Chicago Auto Show in 1989, this mid-engine V6 powered car was certainly a change from the high powered V8 and V12 exotic sports cars that it was set to compete against. The Acura NSX was far ahead of it's competitors in terms of design and ride quality as well as it's ability to pull out incredible performance from a V6 engine. It's lightweight, all-aluminum chassis made it quick and nimble, yet rigid.

For those concerned about performance, the Acura NSX could hold it's own with a red line at 8,000 RPM's, which is usually a number associated with a car meant for the track. Everything about this car was unique, right down to it's 23 step painting process which has allowed many of these cars to look great and perform well for many years. Unlike many other exotics that get little use, many Acura NSX's have been driven well past 100,000 miles, which is often unheard of for an exotic car. Originally it was released as a 2 door car, but not available in convertible, this wish was granted in 1995 when the NSX-T was introduced with a targo top.

After many years with little design changes, a slight redesign was made in 2002 but only 3 years later, in 2005, production of the NSX ceased. Now research has begun on a new Acura NSX which is said to include a V10 engine, which is more in line with it's competitors; Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche and the Corvette.
