Part of collecting diecast cars is collecting models that are near and dear to our heart for one reason or another.  It might include  finding a diecast car just like your first car, or a car in your favorite movie or TV series.

One of my all time favorite movies is Back To The Future starring Michael J. Fox as Marty McFly and Christopher Lloyd as Doc Brown.  Since I first saw the movie about 20 years ago I have been fascinated with the movie and especially with the DeLorean used in the movie.   The DeLorean was a unique car that was quite rare, with only 8000-9000 units ever produced and seeing one on the road today is indeed a rare treat.

On a recent trip to a local hobby shop I spotted a Diecast DeLorean outfitted like the one on the Back To The Future movie series, complete with a "Flux Capacitor".
